A SpokenFood Exclusive by Miles Kincaid / Senior Food Analyst

2025 needs to be the year someone finally exposes the big distributors in the American grocery industry for raising grocery prices beyond a ridiculous level.

And the question now belongs to you: How much is enough? Is greed driving this? Executive compensation? Anyone who takes your money should at least explain the “why-or-how,” shouldn’t they?

SpokenFood is now calling it out for what it very well may be: Price Gouging. Greed on a level we’ve always suspected but never been able to confirm until now. We’ve left messages for some of the largest distributors in the U.S. food supply chain and we asked hard questions.

Get really used to seeing the chart below. It’s the biggest and best proof–of the truth – PRICE GOUGING is the new normal in the food industry, and someone is going to answer for it. This is why we’re calling it WalletGate here at SpokenFood.com, ‘SF’ for short.

And for those second-guessing the data? This comes straight from the same organization all the food distributors report their monthly/quarterly/annual revenues to; same goes for diesel costs.

If you want to confirm this for yourself, be our guest. This is the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Environmental Information Agency. Click on both and get connected.

We’re not seeking answers this time–we’re getting them. More to come. –MK
